NOVA LocalAI is a private local AI workspace for Windows. Run GGUF language models directly on your own computer for chat, translation, file analysis, voice input, and code assistance. Everyday use does not require Ollama, and normal conversations do not need to be sent to a cloud AI service.

Choose a local model for the task at hand. The lightweight chat model is built for fast everyday conversations, the translation model is designed for Chinese chat, long-form understanding, and multilingual translation, and the code model is optimized for C++, Python, project structure, debugging, and code generation.

NOVA LocalAI lets you attach code and text files as clean attachment cards instead of pasting everything into the chat box. C/C++, Python, JSON, Markdown, TXT, CSV, logs, and DOCX content can be used with typed or spoken instructions. Ask the model to summarize a document, translate it into a target language, explain code logic, or find bugs. Long files are handled in safe segments to help prevent slowdowns caused by pasting large amounts of code directly into the interface.

AI code is presented in dedicated code cards with copy and save actions. Create Python scripts, organize C++ source files, review compile errors, and iterate on fixes inside one local workspace.

Offline speech-to-text includes recording status, waveform feedback, elapsed time, and transcription progress. Recognized speech is returned directly to the input field. Windows text-to-speech can read the latest reply and supports automatic reading and installed voice selection.

For advanced users, NOVA LocalAI includes an optional Code Agent. This feature is disabled by default and does not affect normal chat. When enabled, it can work with a user-configured Windows development virtual machine and shared workspace. The code model can stage generated C++ or Python files, request builds and tests, read returned logs, and continue fixing problems from the results. Web search, dependency downloads, and command execution use explicit user confirmation controls.
