You don’t begin as the owner.

You start as an employee responsible for keeping production moving, completing customer orders and helping the company grow.

As the workshop becomes more successful, you can build your own financial position, purchase shares in the company and gradually gain more control.

Your long-term goal is simple:

Turn the workshop into a successful business — and eventually make it yours.

Run a Real Production Workflow

Customer jobs move through a complete metal fabrication process:

Band Saw → Drill Press → Welder → Work Table

Each order can require different:

• materials

• section sizes

• cutting lengths

• hole diameters

• quantities

• welding operations

• finishing work

Not every part follows the same route.

You need to understand the job, keep materials moving between stations and make sure production is completed before the deadline.

Plan Production Around Real Deadlines

The Production Calendar shows your upcoming workload and helps you plan ahead.

Track:

• customer deadlines

• machine workload

• upcoming orders

• material requirements

• production progress

• available working time

Taking more work can increase revenue — but overloading the workshop can leave several jobs competing for the same machines.

Work the Machines Yourself or Hire Operators

At the beginning, you can operate workshop machines yourself.

Select the work that needs to be completed and send your character to the required station.

As the company grows, hire dedicated workers for:

• Band Saw

• Drill Press

• Welding

• Finishing

• Logistics

Workers automate their assigned tasks and allow several parts of the workshop to operate at the same time.

A small workshop can gradually become a coordinated production operation.

Keep the Workshop Running

Machines need more than just orders.

You also need to manage:

• raw materials

• drill bits

• saw blades

• welding wire

• machine cleanliness

• stock levels

• production bottlenecks

Machines become slower as they get dirty and eventually need cleaning before production can continue.

Good planning prevents downtime.

Upgrade Your Equipment

Invest company money into faster machinery.

Upgrading the wrong station may simply move the bottleneck somewhere else.

Balance the workshop and decide where investment will have the biggest impact.

Build Goodwill

Growing the company can earn Goodwill.

New customers, workers and machine upgrades reward you for developing the business rather than simply repeating the same work.

Goodwill can provide strategic advantages such as:

• removing a disciplinary warning

• arranging a full Company Owner Away Day

• receiving a personal bonus

• reducing the cost of your next ownership purchase

How you spend it is up to you.

Take Private Jobs — If You Are Willing to Risk It

Company work isn’t your only way to make money.

When the Company Owner is away, you can use workshop capacity for private production and earn money for yourself.

But there is a catch.

If private work is still running when the Company Owner returns, you risk being caught.

Warnings, reputation and your career can all be affected.

You can play completely legitimately — or take calculated risks to accelerate your personal progress.

Buy Your Way Into the Company

Your personal money has a much bigger purpose than simply increasing a number.

Use it to purchase shares in the workshop.

Progress through several stages:

Employee → Partner → Majority Shareholder → Final Buyout → Sole Owner

As your ownership increases, your relationship with the company changes.

At majority control, employee restrictions disappear.

At 100%, the business is yours.
