Rekindle the darkened Northern Lights

The Darkened Northern Lights is a family-friendly storybook RPG rooted in Finnish mythology. The Northern Lights have vanished from the sky, and only you can light them again. Journey through snowy forests, quiet shores, and ancient places—and bring the world back to life.

The game is like a living storybook, its heart beating for story and reading. On your journey, you will meet the folk of the forest, listen to their tales, and make choices that drive the adventure forward. It also offers a fun way to learn about Finnish mythology, brought to life gently and beautifully colored by the game’s own magic. It features easy-to-learn dice combat and familiar role-playing elements, but there is never a rush. It is perfect to play and read together, even as a bedtime story.

In this world you can:

• Learn about Finnish mythology and discover ancient tales in a fun, fairy-tale-inspired way
• Free enchanted gnomes and rescue fire foxes along your journey
• Gather companions who travel by your side and help you in battles
• Engage in simple yet exciting turn-based dice combat
• Make meaningful choices—all the way to the end of the adventure
• Tend to your own garden and grow magical flowers
• Explore the world entirely at your own pace, with no rush and no punishments
