MeowPlay – Stack, Save Cats, Reach the Top!

Game Overview

MeowPlay is an addictive 2D casual stacking game where you build a tower that grows higher and higher, while rescuing adorable cats along the way. Simple to pick up – just move your Cat Helicopter left and right, then release to drop the blocks. But to climb the leaderboard, you’ll need to master the perfect balance between route choices, environmental challenges, combo management, and cat collecting.

Core Mechanics: Stacking & Route Decisions

At the start of each round, a random “Planned Route” is generated. Stacking precisely on this route earns multiplied scores; straying from it gives only base points. Will you chase high scores with risky moves, or play it safe to push your height? The choice is yours.

Dynamic Environmental Challenges

As the tower climbs higher, four environmental factors gradually come into play:

· Wind: The Cat Helicopter drifts horizontally, testing your fine control.

· Interference: Blocks shift randomly when they land, increasing the chance of mistakes.

· Sway: The camera and spawn point swing back and forth, challenging your aim.

· Gravity: Adjusts the falling speed of blocks, altering the game’s rhythm.

The intensity of these effects scales with your chosen difficulty (Casual / Easy / Hard), making the game accessible for players of all skill levels.

Save Cats & Manage Resources

Many little cats live on the vines beside the tower. Guide your Cat Helicopter close to them to “rescue” them.

· Rescuing a floating cat rewards you with a normal block.

· Rescuing a vine cat rewards you with a special block.

Without blocks, you cannot keep stacking. Special blocks come in four types:

· Connector – freezes the entire tower.

· FastStack – instantly spawns 5 blocks upward.

· Freezer – pauses all environmental effects for 5 seconds.

· Expansion – spawns 5 blocks on each side and freezes the tower.

Use these strategically to push past your limits.

Every rescue also gives escalating bonus points (1st rescue +1, 2nd +2, 3rd +3…), encouraging you to collect every cat.

Combo & Reward System

Continuous successful stacks (within 3 seconds) build your combo count:

· 10 combos → Level 1: +10 bonus points per block, cat shows “Yay!” animation.

· 20 combos → Level 2: +20 bonus points per block, cat gives a “Thumbs up!”

· 30 combos → Level 3: +30 bonus points per block, cat sends a “Heart”!

If you fail to stack within 3 seconds, your level gradually drops, keeping you on your toes.

Game Modes & Goals

· Endless Mode: Stack upward forever, challenging both the highest score and the greatest height – two separate leaderboards let you compete in the way you prefer.

· Real-time Feedback: Perfect alignments, rescues, and combo upgrades are rewarded with particle effects and sound, giving you satisfying feedback every step of the way.

· Local Leaderboard: After each game, your run is automatically recorded. The overall score (Points + Height × 10 – Time × 3) determines your rank. The top 10 entries are permanently saved, motivating you to keep improving.

· Full hand-drawn cute art style, with a variety of cat designs and flying objects (birds, UFOs, stars, etc.) that enrich the scene.

· Supports both keyboard (Space / S / Down Arrow) and gamepad (DUALSHOCK / DualSense). The main menu and in-game UI are fully controller-compatible, making it easy to jump in and play.
