*Kingdom of the Beast: CAT * is a modern urban visual novel RPG rich in realism and dark humor. In Harbor City—a coastal metropolis within the rapidly transforming and ideologically tightening "New Dawn Republic"—a group of young artists, dreamers, and struggling system insiders collide. As the crushing tide of the era grinds away individual dignity, they must navigate art, capital, power, and survival to find redemption in a cold, shimmering labyrinth.

Harbor City is a giant port where prosperity coexists with decay, and freedom intertwines with suppression.

Sora Yano, a talented young artist filled with skepticism toward worldly values, moves here and works as an assistant at the Multidimensional Gallery. Around him are people wearing masks: Kaede Takashiro, who numbs her vulnerability with alcohol at bar gigs; Shino Fujii, who holds onto justice in a quiet bookstore despite harsh realities; Shinya Nakagawa, a sculptor torn between high ideals and financial survival; Herbert Marcuse Jr., seeking critical spirit on foreign soil; and Lin Mo, a cultural censorship official climbing the cold ladder of power.

Through art exhibitions, underground Live House performances, and the looming shadows of economic crisis and ideological censorship, their fates become tightly entangled.
