Flak Duty

John is spending another quiet monthly shift inside ZUCH, an automated flak machine protecting a factory in rural New Zealand. The machine normally identifies and destroys incoming drones without human involvement. John is only there to supervise — until an unusual request forces him to make a decision the system will not forget.
