BUTLER GUILLOTINE

The ceremony plays once more, it’s hazy decor forming one last time.

A mishapen, impossible hotel.

Interact with different characters and objects through point & click controls, explore locations
that feel distantly palpable. Make sense of an unstable reality that hides its very nature.

Mingle to your heart’s content.

Exchange information extensively, debate on the general decor, or partake in backwards philosophy.
It’ll help out eventually.

Performative, romantic and classical.

Play as a performer, murderer and master. Intertwine their stories and bring the ceremony to a halt.

The game evolves depending on who is being played, ranging from slow-paced exploration to having a literal gun.

Reveal the horror

Recall long-forgotten events from a distant reality, and get out.

Butler Guillotine features a soundtrack entirely made of public domain finds of late 19th and early 20th century opera and chamber music. Most songs are only slightly altered, or even not at all, so that they can stand out as much and as well as their original recordings.
