BOXROOM

Before you play!

IMPORTANT NOTE 1: BOXROOM won’t pull your library’s capsule art or screenshots directly, but we do have a simple, streamlined solution for this. BOXROOM is an evolving space for your game collection and media; the game available on Steam is now futureproofed for other platforms and forms of media, and we have special updates and expansions for those looking to add specific artwork from various media types to their collection.

IMPORTANT NOTE 2:Please note that in order for BOXROOM to be able to pull and display your Steam Library, your Library must be set to Public. To do this, go to View my profile > Edit Profile > Privacy Settings > Game Details: Public.

Do you miss running your finger along the spines of all your game boxes, deciding what you might be in the mood to play? Do you long for instruction manuals, inlays, and that intoxicating plasticky smell when you crack open a new box and bury your nose inside. Ahhh.

BOXROOM is a shrine to all of that; a little space to call your own, and a way to explore and interact with your game library in a more meaningful way.

It’s a throwback to the bedrooms and game-spaces of yesteryear — a place for shelves, cabinets and curated displays, for posters, figurines and collectors items.

It’s also a game, if you want to call it that; a design/decorator-sim giving you the space to put a stamp on your Steam library and game collection. After setting up your room and preferred shelving arrangement, the game will boot your ACTUAL Steam library onto the shelves — giving you space to arrange, curate and explore your collection as you see fit.

Put your feet up! Sit back and soak in the space.

You can then share your room with a friend (or your mortal enemy I suppose) to show off your collection in all its glory.

• Build, design and arrange your game room

• Populate your shelves with your actual game library, direct from Steam

• Search the BoxCo Catalogue for your preferred furniture and furnishings

• Secret figures, collector’s editions and upgrades based on certain games — how many are hiding in your collection?

• Pick up, inspect and re-arrange your game-boxes as you see fit

• Boot your games….from BOXROOM!

• Share your rooms with friends and show off your collection

• Integrate your own items and textures with Steam Workshop functionality.

NOTE: Games that appear in BOXROOM use publicly available Steam data and images. All trademarks and artwork belong to their respective owners.
